The chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Mohan Bhagwat, has insisted that the construction of Ram temple in the disputed land in Ayodhya must be completed. This comes after the BJP won 303 seats out of the 543 in the Lok Sabha election, giving a massive mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at an RSS event – Sangh Siksha Seva – in Udaipur, on Tuesday, Bhagwat, in an apparent reference to the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya’s disputed site, where the Babri Masjid once stood before being demolished, said, “Ram ka kaam karna hain aur Ram ka kaam hokar rahega (Ram’s work must be done and Ram’s work shall be done).”

Currently, a Supreme Court-constituted three-member mediation panel is trying to reach an out-of-court settlement in the decades-old case.
