After exit poll prediction Priyanka Gandhi encourages party workers, says ‘all this is to discourage us’

After the exit poll predicted that BJP led NDA is going to get mandate in this Lok Sabha election, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Tuesday, encouraged party workers not to give up because of “rumours” and exit-poll results as these have been done to “discourage” them.
While expressing confidence that the Congress will win the Lok Sabha election 2019, Priyanka, in an audio message, said, “My loving party workers (sisters and brothers), don’t give up due to rumours and exit polls. These are being done to discourage you. In this situation, your carefulness becomes more important. Be watchful and persistent in strong rooms and at counting centres. We are sure our hard work will pay off.”
Soon after the seventh and last phase of the election concluded, various TV channels released the results of exit polls conducted by various agencies. The exit polls showed that the BJP-led NDA was heading towards a landslide while the Congress-led UPA fared extremely poorly.
