Ajit Jogi says a BSP-JCC win will see ‘Mayawati as PM’ and him as ‘Chhattisgarh CM’
Former Chhattisgarh chief minister and president of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi), Ajit Jogi, on Friday, declared an alliance between his party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party. Jogi announced that the JCC has “made an alliance with the BSP and the left”, ahead of the Chhattisgarh assembly election.
Jogi said if JCC(J)-BSP forms government in Chhattisgarh, then he will be the state’s chief minister. He said, “It has been decided that I will be the chief minister of the state if the JCC(J)-BSP alliance wins.”
Jogi said, “I have always believed that a non-Congress, non-BJP coalition will get a majority in 2019 (Lok Sabha election). It will be decided then who will become prime minister, but I personally believe Mayawati deserves it as the first dalit, a woman, as a politician from Uttar Pradesh and as a four-time chief minister.”
