Akhilesh Yadav says SP-BSP alliance a ‘scientific experiment’ that failed

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, on Wednesday, termed the alliance between his party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party a failed “scientific experiment”. He also said although the SP-BSP alliance has collapsed, his respect for Mayawati has remained intact.

While talking to reporters in Lucknow, Yadav said, “I studied engineering in Mysore. As a science student, I know that all experiments do not always succeed. But still we give it a trial and learn what is lacking.”

On Tuesday, after Mayawati announced that her party will fight the Uttar Pradesh assembly byelections alone, Akhilesh Yadav also said his party would contest all the seats.
