Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh has suspected involvement of Pakistan-backed Khalistani or Kashniri terrorist groups behind grenade attack in Amritsar that has killed three persons and injured twenty people.

“The possibility of involvement of ISI-backed Khalistani or Kashmiri terror groups could not be ruled out (in the Amritsar terror attack),” he said.

In his official statement, Singh has assured that he will not allow anyone to disturb the state’s hard-earned peace and would get to the bottom of the incident.

The chief minister said, “Nobody will be allowed to get away with trying to disturb the peace and harmony of the state.”

According to the police reports, two motorcycle-borne assailants lobbed a grenade inside a Nirankari Bhawan at Adliwal village near Amritsar’s Rajasansi area on Sunday where religious congregation was taking place. Over 200 devotees were present at the religious gathering.
