The Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, said there is “pro-incumbency” in favor of his Aam Aadmi Party government because of the kind of work the party has done in the last three years. While saying this, he took a jibe at the BJP-led NDA government and said the AAP government’s tenure in Delhi shows that a good government at the Centre can make India the “number one country in the world”.

Addressing his party’s national council meeting, Kejriwal said, “In Delhi, there is no anti-incumbency but pro-incumbency. There will be no anti-incumbency if you serve the people and do not indulge in corruption.”

He also said that due to limited options people are forced to vote for the Congress or the BJP and claimed that AAP has given “hopes to the people of the country”.

Kejriwal also claimed that the AAP will retain power in Delhi in 2020.
