Bhupesh Baghel.

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, while filing a complaint to election commission, alleged that Prime Minister Narenndra Modi violated the model code of conduct during his public meeting at Raipur’s Badola by making statements about Army and surgical strikes, which no political party can use because of a ban by the Election Commission.

He submitted a memorandum wherein he stated that Modi has “violated code of conduct five times during his speech of 17:21 minutes”.

The memorandum said, “While Modi didn’t mention about any of the development work that he did during his tenure, he continued patting his own back by boasting about only the retaliation done by Indian Army and was praising himself. He tried to gain benefit and collect votes during elections by displaying the courage of Army under his rule. The lines of his speech were centred only on Army, surgical strike, air strike, retaliating terrorism in their territory etc.”
