BJP, Congress in war of words over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Masood Azhar ji’ remark
The BJP, on Monday, attacked Rahul Gandhi for addressing the Jaish-e-Muhammed chief as “Masood Azhar ji” and slammed him with “Rahul loves terrorists” barb.
The Congress responded by saying the BJP was deliberately twisting his “sarcastic” words.
While addressing party workers meeting in New Delhi, Gandhi said, “These people with 56-inch chest, you would recall, in their previous government, the current national security advisor, Ajit Doval, went in an aircraft with Masood Azhar ji and handed over Masood Azhar there in Kandhar.” He pointed out that Azhar’s Jaish took the responsibility of carrying out the Pulwama suicide attack.

At this rate don’t be surprised if @RahulGandhi starts naming govt schemes in Congress ruled states after terrorists.

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad in response to this said, “Come on Rahul Gandhi Ji! Earlier it was the likes of Digvijaya Ji who called Osama Ji and Hafiz Saeed Sahab. Now you are saying ‘Masood Azhar Ji’. What is happening to Congress Party?”
Later, the Congress also tweeted a clip saying Ravi Shankar Prasad was also guilty of using “ji” for terror mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed.
