BS Yeddyurappa.

It appears that all is not over for the BJP in Karnataka for the time being. The party is still fostering hopes of coming back into power in the state after their move of poaching MLAs from opposition has failed. They are looking forward to the Congress legislature party meeting, on Friday, and hoping it will provide them with fresh opportunity to topple the Congress-JD(S) government.

The BJP is hoping to take advantage of the absentees or the rebellions, if any, during the Congress meeting.

Also, the party leaders have asked its legislators, who are confined in a hotel in Gurugram, Haryana, to delay their return to Bengaluru by a day, as they wait for a chance disrupt the coalition.

However, BS Yeddyurappa, state BJP president, has denied that the BJP is trying to poach Congress MLAs.

Talking to reporters, on Thursday, the BJP veteran and former Karnataka chief minister said, “We gathered all our MLAs in one place over the past two-three days to discuss preparations for the Lok Sabha election. They will all return either today or tomorrow (Friday).”

Yeddyurappa also accused the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) of trying to cover up their failures and inability of keeping their flock together. He said, “If your MLAs go to Mumbai or Delhi, what do we have to do with it? It is your duty to keep them together.”
