BSP, SP will join grand alliance for 2019 Lok Sabha election, Veerappa Moily says

Senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily, on Tuesday, said: “In the next Lok Sabha election, the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party will also be involved in the grand alliance of the opposition parties against BJP-led NDA.”

Moily said, “The Congress will win at least four out of five states where the assembly elections are going to be held in the next two months.”

Moily said that the proposed alliance is going to be formed for the Lok Sabha election, not in state assembly elections. He further said, "Our main desire is to see the opposition united in the Lok Sabha elections and we believe that the BSP and the SP will be the part of this great coalition.”

Moily said that the candidate for the prime minister’s post would probably be an issue as no party would force it in the proposed coalition.
