Chandrababu Naidu drags Narendra Modi’s wife’s name in counterpunch

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched a counteroffensive by dragging Narendra Modi’s wife in an outburst, after the Prime Minister addressed Naidu as “father of Lokesh” at a rally in Guntur, on Sunday.

Modi, in a tweet, said, “One must admire Chandrababu Naidu Garu’s honesty. He says he is a wealth creator! He’s obviously creating lots of wealth for him and his son while Andhra Pradesh suffers. We are patriotic Indians ... we are only thinking about the nation. Creating wealth is never on our minds.”

While accusing Modi of ruining the country and all the systems, Naidu, in a public meeting at a Vijayawada, said, “Since you have referred to my son, I am mentioning about your wife. People, do you know Narendra Modi has a wife? Her name is Jashodaben.”

Naidu, who claimed that the BJP has totally lost the public support in the state, also said, “The prime minister claims to be a chaiwala (tea seller) but look at his suits and boots ...”

He then added, “The ‘go back’ slogan we gave is asking you to go back to your village in Gujarat as you are not eligible to be the prime minister.”
