Congress’s Haroon Yusuf says ‘Narendra Modi can trace 3kg beef but not 350kg RDX’
Delhi Congress working president Haroon Yusuf slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Pulwama terror attack and said he could trace 3kg beef, but failed to find 350kg RDX.
His statement was in reference to the explosive used in the jihadist suicide bombing on the CRPF convoy at Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama. It is suspected that a huge quantity of RDX was packed into a jerrycan was used in the attack, shards of which were picked up by the investigators on the attack spot.
Yusuf tweeted: “@narendramodi Ji can trace 3 kg of beef but cannot trace 350 kg of RDX #ModiFailsNationalSecurity [sic].”

Yusuf’s beef comment was an oblique reference to right-wing cow vigilantes attacking Muslims suspecting of eating beef. In 2015, a Muslim villager named Mohammad Aqlakh was lynched by right-wingers on suspicion of eating cow meat.
Responding to this a senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad termed Yusuf’s statement “scandalous and irresponsible”. Delhi BJP vice-president Rajiv Babbar claimed Yusuf’s assertion exposed Congress’s “double-face”.
