Digvijaya Singh is an ‘agent of BJP’, Mayawati says

While announcing her decision not to join hands with Congress to form an anti-BJP alliance for the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, BSP leader Mayawati, on Wednesday, said some Congress leaders were responsible for sabotaging the alliance talks. She particularly picked up senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and labelled him as an “agent of BJP”.

Mayawati said, “Congress are getting arrogant & are under misconception that they can defeat BJP on their own, but the ground reality is that people haven't forgiven Congress party for their mistakes & corruption ... They don't seem to be ready to rectify themselves.” She further said, “I feel that Sonia Gandhi & Rahul Gandhi's intentions for Congress-BSP alliance are honest. However some Congress leaders are sabotaging this.”

Mayawati said, “Digvijaya Singh, who is also a ‘BJP agent’, is giving statements that Mayawati ji has a lot of pressure from Centre so she doesn’t want this alliance. This is baseless.” She added that the Congress may be “afraid of making a Muslim men a candidate, but BSP would not behave in this manner”.
