Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Tuesday, while addressing her first political rally since her appointment as Congress general secretary launched a scathing attack at the Prime Minister. In the election rally at Gandhinagar, in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat, she asked what happened to Modi’s promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh into every citizen’s bank account and his pledges about women’s safety.

While addressing the public rally with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi by her side, Priyanka said the present situation in the country was grim and asked the crowd to raise the right questions in the election and not frivolous issues.

She said, “The people who made tall claims in 2014, ask them about the Rs 15 lakh that was to be deposited into your account. Ask them about the promises they made about women security and about employment.”
