In Varanasi, Narendra Modi says ‘caste politics over, BJP no longer untouchable’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while thanking the voters of Varanasi for re-electing him as their MP, said this Lok Sabha election has ended caste-based politics.

Modi, during his thanksgiving speech, on Monday, said, “Elections might have been guided by the caste calculus in the past but post-2019 polls, the political pundits will have to accept that there is a personal chemistry on the ground beyond any caste arithmetic. The elections have shown that chemistry defeats all calculations based on caste.”

Modi beat his nearest rival by 4.79 lakh votes.
