The newly elected chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, while announcing the farm-loan waiver hours after taking the oath, on Monday, and said, “there are jobs in the state but UP, Bihar people come and grab those jobs in a way.”
Referring to employment in his state, Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath said, “People of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar come here and snatch jobs from the local people. I do not want to criticize them, but the people of Madhya Pradesh are deprived of employment opportunities. Now only those industries will get the grant, which will give employment to 70 per cent of the local people.”
This remark from Kamal Nath, who himself comes from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, is expected to evoke strong reactions, especially from the BJP.
