Mayawati calls Congress ‘cheat’ and ‘untrustworthy’ after 6 BSP MLAs switch party in Rajasthan

In a major setback to the Bahujan Samaj Party, six party MLAs in Rajasthan switched sides and joined the Congress, late on Monday.

Reacting to this, BSP chief Mayawati, on Tuesday, took to Twitter to vent her anger. In a series of tweets in Hindi, Mayawati said, “The Congress has always been against BR Ambedkar and his ideology. That is why Ambedkar had to resign as the country's first law minister. The Congress never honored him with a Bharat Ratna, which is sad and shameful.” “The Congress party in Rajasthan, by creating a split among the BSP MLAs, has once again proved that it is untrustworthy and a cheat," she added.

She further said, “The Congress, instead of fighting its bitter rivals, always harms the parties that support it."

1. राजस्थान में कांग्रेस पार्टी की सरकार ने एक बार फिर बीएसपी के विधायकों को तोड़कर गैर-भरोसेमन्द व धोखेबाज़ पार्टी होने का प्रमाण दिया है। यह बीएसपी मूवमेन्ट के साथ विश्वासघात है जो दोबारा तब किया गया है जब बीएसपी वहाँ कांग्रेस सरकार को बाहर से बिना शर्त समर्थन दे रही थी।

2. कांग्रेस अपनी कटु विरोधी पार्टी/संगठनों से लड़ने के बजाए हर जगह उन पार्टियों को ही सदा आघात पहुंचाने का काम करती है जो उन्हें सहयोग/समर्थन देते हैं। कांग्रेस इस प्रकार एससी, एसटी,ओबीसी विरोधी पार्टी है तथा इन वर्गों के आरक्षण के हक के प्रति कभी गंभीर व ईमानदार नहीं रही है।

3.कांग्रेस हमेशा ही बाबा साहेब डा भीमराव अम्बेडकर व उनकी मानवतावादी विचारधारा की विरोधी रही। इसी कारण डा अम्बेडकर को देश के पहले कानून मंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देना पड़ा था। कांग्रेस ने उन्हें न तो कभी लोकसभा में चुनकर जाने दिया और न ही भारतरत्न से सम्मानित किया। अति-दुःखद व शर्मनाक।

The BSP’s Rajendra Guda, Jogendra Singh Awana, Wajib Ali, Lakhan Singh Meena, Sandeep Yadav and Deepchand Kheria have joined the Congress, taking its tally to 106 in the 200-member assembly. The move is significant just two months ahead of the civic election, which is due in November.

The MLAs, who had been in touch with chief minister Ashok Gehlot, met assembly speaker CP Joshi and submitted a letter informing him about their decision to join the Congress. With all six joining the Congress, they have bypassed the anti-defection law.
