Mayawati claims to be better prime minister, says Narendra Modi 'unfit' for the top post

Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati, on Wednesday, made a claim for the prime minister’s post for the first time and said she was a fit candidate when it came to matters pertaining to welfare of people and the country while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “unfit” for the top post.

Mayawati, in a media statement, said, “As far as development goes, BSP has managed to charge the face of UP. Lucknow was beautified to a great extent. On the basis of all the work, it can be assumed that for the welfare of people and the country, BSP national president is fit and in comparison with Narendra Modi, as he is unfit.”

She further asserted that BSP has uplifted the deprived communities and made them "dene wala" (giver) from "lene wala" (taker).
