Reacting on the comptroller and auditor general’s report on Rafale deal, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said the report is half-truth in the eyes of the public. She said it’s neither complete nor completely correct.

Tweeting in Hindi, Mayawati said: “The much awaited CAG report on Rafale tabled in Rajya Sabha is neither complete nor fully correct in the eyes of public. Why constitutional bodies are under stress not been able to work with full honesty in the BJP government. Country is worried.”

The CAG report of the Rafale deal has been presented in Parliament, on Wednesday. The report says the Narendra Modi government sealed the deal at a lesser price than the UPA government entered the old Rafale deal. It said Modi’s 2016 deal was 2.8 per cent cheaper than the earlier deal.

According to the report of CAG, instead of buying 126 Rafael, the government has saved 17.08 per cent for India specific enhancements by handling 36 Rafael deals. The CAG report has 140 pages.
