Narendra Modi.

While addressing a BJP election rally in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, as “bhrashtachari naamdar” (corrupt famous name).

Addressing the crowd, Modi said, “You need to now choose between imandar chowkidar (honest watchman) and bhrashtachari naamdar.”

He also said the “world has recognized India as a superpower in the last five years” and added, “Do you remember the previous ten years of the earlier remote-controlled government? Scams and delays in decision- making were the order of the day.”

Modi, while referring to the Pulwama terror attack, said there have been no terror strikes as the “chowkidar” has instilled “fear in minds of perpetrators of terror” and he will “find them even from hell and punish them”.
