Narendra Modi on Pulwama attack: ‘Terrorists will pay heavy price for heinous act’
A day after at least 42 CRPF jawans were killed in the Pulwama terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, said those who committed the heinous act will pay “a heavy price”.
The prime minister headed a meeting with members of the Cabinet Committee on Security earlier, on Friday, which took stock of the situation in the Jammu & Kashmir after the terror attack and decided to take diplomatic action to isolate Pakistan on an international level.
PM Modi said, “Those who did the heinous act will have to pay a heavy price. Those who supported it will be punishment, To all my colleagues, in ruling and opposition, it’s a sensitive time. We need to speak in one voice because this battle is for us to win.”
“We will face this together. We will not let those forces who want to destroy us be successful. We will not leave the dreams of those who died for us yesterday unfulfilled.” He further added, “If our neighbor thinks it can destabilize India, then it is making a big mistake.”
Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.
