Narendra Modi.

New Delhi: The prime minister, Narendra Modi, while addressing an election rally at Kathua, Jammu, rejected the narrative of two prime ministers, two flags and two constitutions for Jammu & Kashmir, which was restarted recently by National Conference leader and former state chief minister Omar Abdullah. Modi alleged that the Abdullah and Mufti family are encouraging separatism in the state.

Modi said, “There is no provision of two prime ministers, two flags and two constitutions as India is one country. This is the commitment made by our founding father Shyama Prasad Mookerjee and we believe in the same line.”

Attacking the two most prominent political families in Kashmir, Modi said, “The Abdullah and the Mufti families have destroyed the lives of three generations of Jammu & Kashmir. Their departure must be ensured for state’s bright future.” He added, “… They can support nepotism, can abuse Modi as much as they want, but they will not be able to divide India.”
