Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Congress is in (a hospital’s) intensive-care unit and is using other parties as a support system for its survival. He said this while addressing BJP’s booth-level workers of five Lok Sabha constituencies – Ghaziabad, Nawada, Jaipur (Rural), Arunachal (West) and Hazaribagh.

Speaking to the workers through the NaMo app, on Thursday, the prime minister said: “When a patient is in ICU, they use many tools … here one, there one … something in the mouth ... they use a support system so that the patient can be saved. The Congress is using such a support system from various parties so that it survives. For the Congress, these parties have the support systems to save it in the ICU.”

Talking on the 2019 Lok Sabha election and the opposition, Modi further said: “There is a fear that this (pro-BJP) storm is stronger than the one in 2013-14. When such a big storm is approaching, what can they (the opposition) do? They are clutching each other’s hands, or else they may get blown away … they are clutching straws from drowning.”
