Narendra Modi says Rahul Gandhi should be ‘ashamed’ of Sam Pitroda’s comments on 1984 anti-Sikh riots

Taking a swipe at Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, said party chief Rahul Gandhi should be “ashamed” of himself. Modi sought to know whether Congress member Sam Pitroda was admonished for his “hua toh hua” remarks.

Replying to a reporter's question on the 1984 riots, Congress veteran Pitroda — a close aide of Rahul Gandhi and head of the Congress overseas unit — had last week said “hua to hua”. Pitroda later said his words had been twisted.

Meanwhile Modi, in yet another verbal attack at a rally in Khanna and Hoshiarpur earlier in the day, said, “Rahul Gandhi should be ashamed for Pitroda’s totally wrong remarks on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and should apologise to the country.”
