Naveen Patnaik rejects Narendra Modi’s claim of Odisha repeating a ‘Tripura-like result’

Odisha chief minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik, on Monday, rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party will repeat Tripura-like result in Odisha in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Modi, while responding to a question from a fisherman from Odisha’s Kendrapara district during a “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign event, said, “Odisha will surprise the country. Odisha will become second Tripura this time.”

Responding to a query from the media about Modi’s remarks on Odisha, Patnaik said, “We will do very well as I have said before.”
