Nitish Kumar criticizes Pragya Thakur, says BJP should consider expelling her from party

While reacting on Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate Pragya Singh Thakur’s Godse statement, Bihar chief minister and Janata Dal United leader Nitish Kumar, on Sunday, said Bhartiya Janata Party as a “desh-bhakt (patriot)”, should consider expelling her from the party.

After casting his vote in Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, Nitish criticized Thakur for her Godse remark and said, “It is condemnable… Bapu is the father of the nation and if anybody talks about him in this manner, it will not be tolerated.” It may be noted that Nitish’s party JDU is a part of the NDA.

While responding a question that the BJP should oust her from the party, Nitish said: “BJP must consider it”. He also asserted that this “is an internal matter of the BJP”, and added that “so far as we are concerned, there is no question of tolerating such things.”
