Nitish Kumar targets opposition alliance says, ‘No power on earth can abolish reservation’
New Delhi: Bihar chief minister and Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar, on Sunday, assertively said that “no power on earth can abolish reservation,” after opposition mahagathbandhan leaders like Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party chief Upendra Kushwaha questioned the continuance of reservation if Modi government returns to power at the Centre.
Nitish Kumar, at an election rally in Majha in Gopalganj, said, “No power on earth can abolish reservation. People need to be beware of those who are spreading confusion and canard with regard to reservation. I introduced reservation in panchayat polls while Narendra Modi government gave the benefit of 10 percent of reservation to the weaker sections among general category.”
He also claimed that the return of Narendra Modi government at the Centre is needed for Bihar’s development.
