On International Mother Language Day, Mamata Banerjee says ‘respect all languages, but take pride in your mother tongue’

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, on Thursday, urged people to respect all languages, but take pride in their mother tongue. She tweeted this on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, on Thursday.

She tweeted, "Best wishes to all on International Mother Language Day. Respect all languages but take pride in your mother tongue.”

International Mother Language day is celebrated around the world on February 21, and its motive is to promote awareness on linguistic and cultural diversity.
