BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha criticized Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre, on Monday, over the Rafale deal and called it a “scam”. Sinha said Mediapart, the French publication, has quoted former French president Francois Hollande in it saying that the name of Reliance Defence was proposed as an offset partner by Indian government to the French aerospace major Dassault Aviation.

While addressing farmer’s panchayat in Tawli village in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, on Sunday, where former Union minister Yashwant Sinha and Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia were also present, Sinha said, “Questions related to Rafale deal were raised that why an experience company like the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was set aside and a new company got the contract for the Rafale deal.”

Following this, Sinha urged to all opposition leaders to unite and form a great alliance to defeat the BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha election.
