Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ended her meeting with her party workers at 5.30am on Wednesday to strategize for the party’s campaigning in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

When asked by reporters if she will have a face-off with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Priyanka said, "My fight is not with the prime minister,  the Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, will take on him.”

She said she was trying to know the views of the workers on how to win the 2019 Lok Sabha election. On Tuesday night, after returning from Jaipur, Priyanka met party workers from eight different Lok Sabha constituencies. These include the Amethi and Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituencies, from where Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi had been winning for the past few elections.

Regarding meeting with party workers, Priyanka said a lot of change is needed in Uttar Pradesh. She said, “I am learning about the organization and listening to people's opinions.”
