The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on Friday, wished for a speedy judicial process in the Ram Janmabhoomi land-dispute case. In its annual report, the RSS termed the Supreme Court’s order to form a mediation panel to arrive at an amicable solution to the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute as “surprising”.

The RSS released the statement during the organization’s national executive meeting, which is under way in Gwalior. It said: “In Ram-Janmabhoomi case, instead of accelerating the judicial process to end the long-drawn dispute, the Supreme Court has taken a surprising stand. That it should find no understanding. We are experiencing that Hindus are constantly being neglected.”

The joint general secretary of the RSS, Manmohan Vaidya, said, “We have full faith in the judicial system and hope all the obstacles will be cleared and the temple constructed.”
