Shashi Tharoor says ‘BJP allies are deserting ‘sinking ship’

Shashi Tharoor, senior Congress leader and member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, said it is a “telling sign” that some friends of the Bharatiya Janata Party are beginning to “desert the sinking ship”, he also said that BJP must realize that if their own friends are unhappy, then the whole country will even more negative about their performance.

During an interview with the PTI, on Sunday, Tharoor said, “There is evidently a growing frustration among the members of the NDA, with the authoritarian one-man show that we have seen under the current government and the fact that some allies of the BJP are now beginning to desert the sinking ship is a telling sign that all is not well within the alliance.”

The Congress MP also claimed that the UPA has always been an alliance of collective deliberative leadership, where all the voices are heard, and all the concerns accommodated.
