Sushma Swaraj to Mulayam Singh Yadav on Azam Khan’s remark on Jaya Prada: ‘Draupadi of Rampur is being disrobed’
New Delhi: The foreign minister of India, Sushma Swaraj, reacting over Azam Khan’s remarks against Jaya Prada, tweeted urging Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav not to “stay silent at the disrobing of the Draupadi of the Rampur” after Azam Khan made some offensive remarks against Jaya Prada, who recently joined the BJP from SP.
Khan, while addressing a rally on Sunday, had said the colour of “Jaya Prada’s underwear is khaki” (implying the khaki shorts and trousers the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh members use).
Notably, the comment was made in the presence Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Mulayam’s son, in an election rally.
Swaraj, in her tweet, also urged Mulayam “not to stay silent like Bhishma”. She tagged Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav and Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan in her post too.
मुलायम भाई - आप पितामह हैं समाजवादी पार्टी के. आपके सामने रामपुर में द्रौपदी का चीर हरण हो रहा हैं. आप भीष्म की तरह मौन साधने की गलती मत करिये. @yadavakhilesh Smt.Jaya Bhaduri, Mrs.Dimple Yadav.pic.twitter.com/FNO5fM4Hkc
