Arvind Kejriwal.

The chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday, said those who seek votes in the name of cows should also provide for the fodder for the cows. This statement came during his visit to Bawana, where he found that the BJP-led MCD there has not released funds to a “gaushala” (cow shelter) for two years in the area.

And talking to the reporters after his visit, he said, that Aam Aadmi Party does not seek votes in the name of cows. Kejriwal claimed that the Delhi government has released its share of funds to gaushala, but MCD has not given its share yet.

He also said, “Those who seek votes in the name of cows should also give fodder to them.”

Kejriwal was accompanied by the development minister Gopal Rai, and they visited a cow shelter called Shree Krishna Gaushala, which is funded by the Delhi government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in Bawana town in city’s northwest district.
