Vijay Rupani says ‘if Congress wins, there will be Diwali-like celebrations in Pakistan’

On launching Gujarat’s Bharatiya Janata Party’s electoral campaign – Vijay Sankalp Sammelan – in Mehsana, the state chief minister, Vijay Rupani, said if Congress wins the Lok Sabha election, there will be “Diwali-like celebrations in Pakistan”.
He said, “The language that Pakistan speaks is being used by the Congress leaders. They are insulting our armed forces. They are defeating the morale of the people of India. Who do you (Congress) want to support by giving a negative response to the news conference by the armed forces? Today, an atmosphere is emerging as if Congress is a party of Pakistan … on May 23 when (Lok Sabha election) results will be out … and if by mistake, the Congress is ahead (of the BJP), there will be Diwali(-like) celebration in Pakistan. And if on May 23, the people of India give clear majority to (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi, there will be matam (mourning) in Pakistan. Pakistan is scared of Narendrabhai.”
Rupani also talked about various welfare schemes launched by Modi, like Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat and Jan Dhan Yojana.
