‘Wanted to give him a tight slap of democracy’: Mamata Banerjee on Narendra Modi

West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee while addressing an election rally at Santuri in Purulia, West Bengal, said that she would like to give Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “tight slap of democracy”.

Modi kicked a row after saying West Bengal under Banerjee was known for “‘Triple T’ – Trinamool, tolabaazi (Bengali slang for organized extortion), and tax”.

“Money does not matter to me. That is why when Narendra Modi came to Bengal and accused my party of being tolabaaz, I wanted to give him a tight slap of democracy,” Banerjee said.

She further added that, “He is such a liar, he is setting a bad example for the country’s children.”
