New Delhi: The Rashtrapati Bhavan, on Tuesday, said 115 staff houses in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex have been quarantined after a relative of one of the employees working there tested positive for the new coronavirus, Covid-19. However, it said no employee of the president’s secretariat has tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said a Covid-19-positive patient from central Delhi, who didn’t belong to either the president’s estate or the president’s secretariat, died on April 13 at the BL Kapoor Hospital. When it was later found that a family member of an employee staying in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex had been in contact with the patient, all the family members of the employee, numbering seven, were moved a quarantine facility in central Delhi. Out of the seven, one tested positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases in the country crossed 20,000 and the death toll crossed 640, on Tuesday.
