RJD and Congress announced a seat-sharing pact in Bihar
New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress, on Friday, announced its seat sharing pact for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. RJD will fight for 19 seats while the Congress will contest nine seats.
The new entrants who are contesting under the banner of Mahagathbandhan are Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samta Party and Mukesh Sahni's Vikasheel Insan Party, fielding their candidates on five and three seats respectively.
While Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha has been given three seats, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) has been given the remaining one.
In addition, the list of candidates contesting in the first phase has also been announced.
