New Delhi: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s party Telangana Rashtra Samithi was heavily criticized by opposition parties over preparing poll manifesto filled with promises. The Congress party has accused TRS for copying their assurances and also for repeating their 2014 manifesto.

The TRS party has promised unemployment allowance of Rs 3,016 per month, doubling “Aasara” pension amount, and farm loan waiver of up to Rs 1 lakh in their election manifesto.

While allegedly accusing TRS party of copying their manifesto, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chairman N Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “Sensing a humiliating defeat, KCR (as Rao is popularly known) has copied all the promises (made in recent times by the Congress) and presented them as TRS manifesto.”

On the similar note, Bhartiya Janata Party spokesman Krishna Saagar Rao of Telangana has accused K Chandrasekhar Rao for not delivering promises mentioned by his party in their 2014 manifesto. “We feel KCR released a bogus manifesto, same recycled manifesto of 2014 with percentage differences in the offers. So, whether it’s loan waiver, unemployment compensation ... just increments from last manifesto which he has failed to deliver,” Krishna Saagar Rao      said.

The Communist Party of India national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy has also criticized government for misusing the state budget by spending money on building temples and festivals. He has further added that the government should fill the vacancies in government instead of promising unemployment allowance.

Telangana will hold the assembly election in December in which the Congress will fight the election in alliance with the Telugu Desam Party CPI and Telangana Jana Samiti. The Congress and BJP are yet to publish their respective election manifestoes.
