On Eve of Talks, Farmers Demand Special Parliament Session to Repeal Agri Laws; Amarinder-Shah Meet Likely 

 
In a letter to Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar, leaders of farmer unions on protest said the government should not "indulge in divisive agenda" to break farmers' unity. Transporters, meanwhile, have also threatened to halt operations in northern India from December 8 if the government fails to address concerns of the farming community.
