After Serum Institute of India sought emergency use authorisation for a version of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine candidate, Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech approached the regulator on Monday seeking similar approval for the country's indigenous Covid-19 vaccine candidate.
