Tejashwi Yadav claims father facing ‘Inhuman treatment’, worse than a POW

New Delhi: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, on Thursday, claimed that his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is currently in jail and admitted in Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, is getting “inhuman treatment” there. He said that he is being treated worse than a prisoner of war.
He claimed that his father has multiple ailments but is not being treated well in the hospital. The hospital block where Lalu is being kept does not have equipment for tests, and despite multiple requests he is not being taken to another block 50 metres away which has the facilities. The family termed this as “inhuman”, and accused the BJP of “mental torture” for “a few votes.”
The Jail Superintendent Ashok Chaudhary said, over this: “we take care of him as per norms and the orders. I cannot comment any further.” Meanwhile the hospital has refused to comment officially on this matter.
