In Madhya Pradesh, 12-year-old girl gang-raped, beheaded by brothers and uncle 

New Delhi: Four days after a 12-year-old dalit girl was found beheaded close to her village in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, the police claimed to have solved the case and charged her three brothers, uncle and aunt for the crime of which one is absconding and others arrested.

The Class VI student was abducted by her eldest brother and her uncle along with her brothers raped her. After being gang-raped, when she threatened to tell the police, they strangled her to death and chopped off her head and dumped the body.

The victim’s aunt knew but tried to mislead the police by blaming neighbours which were later proved innocent.

Sagar’s superintendent of police Amit Sanghi said the elder brother was absconding, they questioned the younger one, who is around 19, and he confessed to the crime.
