Ahmed Patel says ‘Rahul Gandhi’s resignation unfortunate, he will always remain my leader’

After Rahul Gandhi quit as party chief, veteran Congress leader Ahmed Patel, in a tweet, said that Rahul will “always remain my leader” and that his resignation is “unfortunate”.
Ahmed said, “Rahulji’s resignation letter is unfortunate. We all are accountable for this defeat. He has, in a short span, already made tremendous contributions in strengthening the party and we all believe his endeavour should continue.”

Other senior leaders also, such as Salman Khurshid and Ashok Gehlot, have expressed that they will continue to follow Rahul Gandhi.
