‘I got confused’: Rahul Gandhi clarifies after Shivraj Singh Chouhan threatens to file criminal complaint against him

Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday, clarified his earlier made remark on Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s son and said, “There is so much corruption in BJP that yesterday I got confused. Madhya Pradesh CM has not ‘done’ Panama, instead has done e-tendering and Vyapam scam.”

Gandhi’s clarification came just after Chauhan responded to Gandhi’s remark made on Monday.  Chouhan had said he will file a “criminal defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi” for dragging his name and his son’s name into the “Panama papers” scandal.

While addressing a rally in Jhabua, in Madhya Pradesh, Gandhi, on Monday, had said, “Name of the son of CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan surfaced in the Panama papers, but no action was taken. Even a country like Pakistan punished its former PM when he was named in the Panama papers.”
