Narendra Modi in Varanasi: ‘Pro-incumbency wave in country for first time’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, before filling his election papers in Varanasi said, a “pro-incumbency wave” is sweeping through India for the first time ever.

While addressing a gathering of thousands of BJP workers in Varanasi, before filling his nomination from the town to contest again, said, “the media knows that the Varanasi election is over. Now we just have to break all voting records.”

At a massive roadshow in the town, Modi said: “a pro-incumbency wave has been seen in country for the first time after independence. People across the nation are saying... Fir Ek Baar...?” PM Modi prompted. “Modi Sarkar,” the workers chanted on cue.
