The Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Sunday, stated that there is a need to get rid of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress and if necessary, he will launch a national party. For this, he sought the blessings of people.

While launching TRS’s campaign for the Lok Sabha election in Karimnagar, KCR, as Rao is popularly known, said the proposed “Federal Front” will have the support of “120 MPs (of different parties)” and TRS will play a “crucial role” in government formation at the Centre in May.

He further said, “There is a need to get rid of BJP and Congress and wipe them out,” and then prompting the crowd to answer by asking, “Do you want me to play a bigger role in national politics?”

The TRS chief has met leaders of various political parties across the country and had advised them not to align with either the BJP or the Congress.

He said, “I have my own strategies and explained to them what we can gain for the states with Federal Front. It is not just 16 MPs, but we might even have the support of 160 MPs after the LS poll results are declared.”
