Kamal Nath says 1984 Sikh riots being raised despite no FIR against him

Suspecting a political conspiracy behind the protests, senior Congress leader and now Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath says 1984 anti-Sikh riots issue is being raised despite no case or FIR filed against him.

Nath said, “When I had taken oath earlier, nobody said anything. The issue (1984 anti-Sikh riots) is being raked up despite no case, FIR or chargesheet filed against me.”

Some of the victims and their families, which staged a protest under the banner of “1984 Sikh Katle-Aam Peerat Welfare Society (Punjab)”, said that Congress will have to pay the price for the decision of making Nath as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh after Congress victory in the recently concluded assembly election in the state.
