Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday, launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh saying its members wield clubs and spread hatred. While addressing a meeting of the Congress Seva Dal, Gandhi asked his party workers to counter the hatred spread by the BJP and its ideological fountainhead RSS with love.

Gandhi said, “RSS and BJP spread hate. They wear half pants, wield clubs while we work with love. This is the basic difference.” He also accused the RSS of creating unrest in the northeast.

And while targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi said, “He runs the country for a select group of 15–20 people.”

He further said, “Hate is another form of fear. There cannot be hate without fear and this is the difference between PM Modi and Me. We (Congress) have no hate because we are not afraid but they (BJP) show hate to conceal their fear and this is about all RSS people.”
