TRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The 12 Telangana Congress MLAs, who recently joined TRS, on Wednesday, hit out opposition party’s state leadership for its attack on them. They said their action was in accordance with the constitutional provisions.

After Congress’s MLAs joined Telangana Rashtra Samiti, the state Congress leadership blamed that they have been lured into joining the other party, which lead to Congress’s approach to the High Court challenging their “merger” with the TRS Legislature Party.

MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, while responding to the Congress allegation, said they joined the ruling party as per the norms.

Reddy further said, “Congress party leaders’ comments are surprising. (They say MLAs) joined after being offered inducements, purchased or out of fear. We are not kids to be made to fear. We are not the ones to fall for inducements. We are not sheep or buffaloes to be purchased.”
